Piano music shaped by landscape, memory and quiet reflection in the beautiful setting of Dry Water Arts Centre. Steve Luck performs a programme of original works, sharing the stories behind the music along the way. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Steve creates intimate, understated piano pieces shaped by simplicity, space and emotional clarity. His music invites stillness and quiet focus, offering a chance to slow down and connect.

The programme will include music from his recent album Homecoming, a collection of original works inspired by place, memory and the feeling of returning home, with strong ties to local landscapes. These influences run through the music, including pieces inspired by the Cheviot Hills and The Haven – a house in Northumberland, where Steve spent time growing up. Alongside the music, Steve introduces each piece from the piano, sharing the stories, ideas and moments that shaped them, giving a deeper insight into the inspiration behind the work.

A two-time Royal Television Society award winner for Professional Excellence in Music, Steve’s music has been streamed over 4 million times worldwide and is regularly featured on TV and radio. His work has drawn comparisons with composers such as Ludovico Einaudi and Max Richter, while maintaining a distinct and personal voice. A recent press review described his music as “contemplative and uplifting, with a delicate balance of melancholy and hope.”

This concert offers a rare opportunity to hear this music in the atmospheric setting of Dry Water Arts Centre. Steve would like to extend a warm welcome to all.
