Unfolding - Launch Event

Saturday September 6th 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

We're inviting everyone in and around our town to get involved in an exciting project that celebrates the stories of  us.... 

Unfolding will delve into the lives of the people who make our community unique—the long-time residents, the new arrivals, and the everyday "characters" who all have a story to tell.

What's it like to live in our town? What's it like to be eight years old here, or eighty? To have arrived as a refugee, or to have never left? "Unfolding" is a project about the stories of our neighbours . It's a chance to find out about the friendliest town and to celebrate the rich tapestry of life experiences that make our community what it is.

• Discover Local Stories: We'll collect and share the dramas, celebrations, humorous moments, and moving events that have shaped our community. Every experience is valuable and can become part of this project.

• Get Involved in Many Ways: This is a project for everyone, regardless of your experience or age You can:

  • Perform: Join our performance ensemble.

  • Write: Contribute stories, poems, or scripts.

  • Create: Make props, shadow puppets, costumes, songs or music.

  • Film: Work on projections and films for the performance.

  • Support and befriend people who may need a little extra help in order to participate 

• Launch Event: To find out more, join us on Saturday , September 6th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dry Water Arts.

• Paula and Frances will  explain all the ways you can participate and answer your questions.

This is a chance to put our community at the heart of creating meaningful art together
